More about me
My name is Mitzy, i have just been saved from death row by my rescuers. I travelled for what seamed like a long time with a lovely guy called Phil to get me to the safety
of this rescue.
I am now in kennels and will be meting lots of new people and dogs over the next few weeks. I am also looking for a warm home to be assessed in they call it "foster " i hope i am fostered soon.
From Murray (volunteer) who walked her today;
Mitzy is a lovely girl, very bouncy and quite a tall girl and fairly strong too.
She's quite skinny though and she has a couple of old scars on the top of her head.
Very friendly with people, loved being made a fuss of, but has little in the way of manners or training, however she is quite bright and worked out quite quickly that if she didn't pull she got all of the lunge rope, but when she did pull the line got shortened and by the end of her walk she was walking quite nicely on the lead.
Met quite a few dogs on her walk and displayed no aggressive tendencies, instead lots of play bounces and excited vocalisations.
Seems to have the standard terrier prey drive, was very interested in the rabbits that we saw off in the field!
All things considered she is what would be expected of a very young staff with minimal training and socialisation, but if placed in the right foster home she would thrive due to her intelligence.
I would also add that she's a jumper, so any potential home would need a suitably high wall or fence to prevent her from bouncing over in search of her next adventure.
All in all a lovely girl, but maybe not best suited for a house with kids under ten or so due to her exuberant nature, but she would make a lovely companion for someone.
