Easter FundraiserWe ran a Easter fundraiser over the Easter weekend to raise vital funds for our dogs and to keep helping other staffies, the pounds are inundated with bull breeds, it is heart breaking!
We ran a fundraiser to donate the cost of an Easter Egg to Staffie Smiles and we raised over £250 - we can't thank our supporters enough for there generosity as always! £250 either pays for a neuter or nearly a months kennel fees or 2 lots of vaccinations - so it really does make a huge difference 💗 |
Foxy (Peggy) has been adopted💗
We are so happy that Peggy has been adopted! Peggy now called Foxy, had a terrible start to life finding herself in the pound, tail injury, severely underweight all by the age of 1 - she has not had it easy! Luckily Foxy had a fab foster mum who let Foxy recoup and get her ready for her Forever Home, also a huge thanks to our supporters who donated towards Foxy's vet bills and care.
Foxy has settled in so well in her new home, she has everything she could have wished for, so much love and attention! Foxy has the biggest toy box you have ever seen, regular trips to Dofos pet shop and her usual walk is to the beach which she loves. We can't wait to keep watching Foxy's adventures.

We have set up an online Staffie Smiles Rescue Shop - all funds go directly to helping our dogs and being able to save more dogs. Dobbie has been adopted💗
Little Dobbie has been adopted! Dobbie landed on his feet in his new home, he lives right on the beach and loves his walks and if he isn't on the beach he loves watching the beach from the window. Dobbie has settled in really well with his new family and has even meet some new Fur Friends to!

Bruce has been adopted 💗
Bruce has been adopted, April was a busy month for adoptions! Bruce was a much loved family member, but unfortunately his families circumstances had changed and he was looking for a home, Bruce has been in his new home for a few weeks now and has settled in so well, they said its like he has always been there and has claimed a chair were he can watch the TV! Bruce is enjoying his walks, playing with his ball and snuggling up.
Foster Homes Needed
We are in desperate need for Foster Homes, unfortunately we can't bring in anymore dogs as we have no kennel space or free fosterers.
Being a fosterer is a commitment but we are always here to support and help you, we also provide you with what you need and if behaviourist support is required.
As you can see from the photo of Snowy, what a difference it makes to dogs being in a foster home compared to kennels, it means we can fully assess them in a home and find out what home they need.
We need pet free homes, secure gardens and somebody around most of the day to let the dogs decompress, please see link below for more information.

Forever Foster - Hope
An update on our girl Hope.
Hope has been loving the nice weather, she has a nice big secure garden to laze about in! typical bully she loves the sun, Hope also has her BFF Apollo come round for playdates in the garden, she loves seeing him and giving him kisses.
Hope also lives with Forever Foster Levi, they are an unlikely duo but they love nothing more than snuggling up on the couch together for a snooze.

Pupps - donation to our dogs

A huge thanks to Pupps who sent us a range of supplements for our dogs in kennels and foster to try. As much as we try and use a range of food/products our dogs in kennels can suffer from kennel stress and itchy skin, so hopefully these supplements will also help! We also have a few oldies in our forever fosters, so will send out the hip and joint supplements to them. Thanks again Pupps for supporting our rescue. |
Secure Fields - how to help.
Quite a few of our dogs looking for homes are in kennels/reactive/overwhelmed so going to a secure field is brilliant for them! We use them a huge amount for our dogs in kennels and foster - it gives them some freedom, trigger free environment and peaceful! its so nice to see our dogs relax and also whilst in kennels it gives them a day out.
Secure fields are an expense for our small rescue and we are spending about £150 a week on secure fields, you are able to donate the cost of a secure field at the link below - thank you!
