Doghailes

We attended Doghailes at Musselburgh in August and it was such a fab day!
Our tombola was so busy, it didn't stop all day and it was amazing to meet all the different dogs and also some of our adopted dogs 💗
It was great to chat to so many people about SSR, we even had SSR mascot Harley with us for the day, she was a superstar!
Thank you so much to all our supporters for the donations for our stall, volunteers for running the stall & we raised over £600 on the day - amazing!

Did you know that you can sign up to Pets at Home - Pets Club and pick Staffie Smiles Rescue as your nominated charity.

By picking us as your nominated charity we receive pets at home vouchers which we spend on dogs in our care from bedding, food, toys ect!

Adopted Dogs

Some of our adopted dogs having fun in August 💗

It looks like the beach has been a popular place in August alongside some sunbathing!
We have also had some birthdays, gotcha days, day trips and new experiences. 

SSR Girl - Hope

Hope our SSR XL Bully Mascot has been settling in well in her forever home the last few months with a committee member 💗

Hope is such a friendly and happy girl, she is an incredible ambassador for the breed! We will be sharing more on Hope in the next month, with her own page, but we thought our supporters would like a wee update on how she is getting on. 

Hope goes out a few times a week with a local dog walker and meets up with fellow adoptee Skye each week at a freedom field, the girls love each other and have good fun playing! She is currently living with 2 other dogs and has adapted really well in a home.

Hope loves her food especially bananas, playing with tug toys & even loves watching tv! 

Fundraising 

​Huge congratulations to Zara who completed the Go Swim Loch Lomond.

Zara has been training for the outdoor swim for a few months and had set up a fundraiser to raise money for SSR.

Zara raised over £1500 for SSR, an incredible amount! we can't thank you enough Zara and for all you do for the dogs 💗

Foster Homes Needed

We are in desperate need for Foster Homes, unfortunately we cant bring in anymore dogs as we have no kennel space or free fosterers.

Being a fosterer is a commitment but we are always here to support and will provide you with what you need.

We need pet free homes, secure gardens and somebody around most of the days to let the dogs decompress, please see link below for more information.
