Staffie Smiles Rescue - December Update
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from us all at SSR.
We can't thank our supporters enough for all there support this year, it makes a huge difference to our dogs lives!
Boston - Adoption

Boston was adopted at the start of December, he is settling in really well in his new home. Boston is loving getting in the bed each night, although his mum says he is extremely lazy and doesn't like to get up until the afternoon! Mum is working on that but Boston is currently saying no thanks to 6am walks. Boston's mum had recently lost her two SSR dogs and Boston had lost his mum, they have been both helping each other! Boston's mum said he is a total sweetheart who makes her laugh. |
Jaz - Kennel Break
Jaz went home with one of our committee members for Christmas, so she got out of kennels for Christmas, woohoo!
Jaz hasn't quite got the relaxing break but instead has been doing lots of training and seeing what she is like in the house, Jaz missed being a puppy and still acts like a big puppy, she can be hyper and mouthy. We are using this time to show Jaz how to settle, crate train and redirecting the mouthing. Jaz is so loveable and she loves playing, she loves having a garden and playing with balls. She has also been loving the big walks and time to decompress.
Jaz is looking for kennel sponsors, she will be under our care for a while before she finds her forever home, please button below to find out more information on our kennel sponsors.

Olivia has been adopted 💗💗
The best news at SSR, Olivia has been adopted! there has been lots of happy tears.
Olivia has fast became a favourite with ourselves and supporters this year, she has had so many people rooting for her! we just needed that special home for her, which finally came! Olivia went into foster early November and got her paws well under the table and was adopted. We couldn't be happier that Olivia found her people.
Olivia has settled in really well, she is loving her home comforts and had her 1st Christmas. Her new family are keeping up her training and she is doing so well, we can't wait to watch Olivia's journey.

Foster Homes Needed
We are in desperate need for Foster Homes, unfortunately we can't bring in anymore dogs as we have no kennel space or free fosterers.
Being a fosterer is a commitment but we are always here to support and help you, we also provide you with what you need and if behaviourist support is required.
As you can see from the photo of Rex what a difference it makes to dogs being in a foster home compared to kennels, it means we can fully assess them in a home and find out what home they need.
We need pet free homes, secure gardens and somebody around most of the days to let the dogs decompress, please see link below for more information.
