Update on Hope 💗

🌊 Hope – our beautiful XL Bully girl! 💖

Hope had her very first trip to the beach, and it was pure joy! 🐾 Hope was straight into the water, tail wagging, smile wide – soaking up every moment of the freedom and fun she’s long deserved. We thought it would take a few trips to get Hope in the sea, but she loved it.

It’s heart-warming to see her finally experiencing life, it’s what rescue is all about. 🙏

Can you sponsor Hope? Hope is part of our Sofa Club were we provide anything our dogs need such as vet care, food, dog walks, medication ect.

We love updates from our Adopters its always so good to see our dogs living their best lives!

Floyd is a winner!

Picture
Floyd came third in the best rescue dog category, we are soooo proud of him and so was his mum! Look how happy he was, we are biased but we think he should have been 1st!

Floyd's mum said he done so well at the farm show , there was so many dogs and people and he had the best time, he was so well behaved and loved all the attention.

Well done Floyd - you are  a superstar 💗

Run Free Rex💗

With heavy hearts, we share the sudden and heart breaking news that Rex passed away in July. He was only 7 years old. A large tumour and fluid around his heart were discovered, and sadly, nothing more could be done. His loss has come as a huge shock to us all.

Rex was so affectionate—his favourite place in the world was snuggled up with his family. His old man snoozy face never failed to make us laugh & also digging up strawberries in the garden. He loved the secure field & chasing his ball, but what he loved most of all was just being close to those who loved him.

We are forever grateful to his wonderful foster mum and dad who gave Rex the home and life he truly deserved—he was happy, cherished, and deeply loved.

Run free, beautiful boy. You can now chase all the rabbits over the rainbow bridge 💔🌈🐾

Jaz - Update

Picture
You might have seen our post about Jaz, she was in the vets for a full health check and allergy tests, she has been pretty itchy and strange marks on her coat.

Going to the vets is a huge thing for Jaz, with her stranger danger. She done amazing, we were so proud of her! Also a huge thanks to Heritage Vets who were so good and understanding with Jaz.

Jaz got the all clear and it's some allergies, which we can eliminate now. Jaz bill was over 1k and we put out an appeal for donations we can't thank our supporters enough and a generous donation which meant Jaz's bill was covered - thank you!

Run Free Hector💗

We are heartbroken to share that we have also lost forever foster Hector in July, we can't thank Hector's family enough for caring for Hector, he wasn't an easy dog but they went above and beyond for him, he was loved right to the end. A few words below from Hector's mum which showed Hector's journey.

Just over 4 years ago I brought Hector home as a foster. He'd had a rough time, his owner had gone into care and he'd been taken to the vets to be pts as his owners children weren't nice people! He then went to 2 other homes in a matter of days before making his way here. He was 11 years old and his world had turned upside down! He was aggressive to dogs he didn't know and didn't like anyone touching him. Vet visits were 'interesting'. Sedatives before he got there and more on arrival! After a very shaky start and many months of patience,  love and trying times Hector realised he could actually trust us and he became a loving, agreeable cuddle monster. After a short battle with lymphoma, enlarged liver and failing kidneys, our duracell battery has run out of energy and we had to say goodbye this morning. We only had him for a short time but he was my biggest achievement.  With love and understanding even the worst dogs can become great. Don't overlook the oldies they can bring as much joy and love as their younger counterparts. We are so lucky to have been able to give HeccaLecca the life he deserved and thank you to SSR for letting us look after him 💜💜💜
