Staffie Smiles Rescue - September Update
Pawz at the Palace
We attended Pawz at the Palace at Scone Palace at the beginning of September and it was such a fab day!
I think our puppachinos went down a treat and it was amazing to meet all the different dogs and also some of our adopted dogs 💗
It was great to chat to so many people about SSR, we even had SSR mascot Harley with us for the day, she was a superstar!
Thank you so much to all our supporters for the donations for our stall, volunteers for running the stall & we raised over £300 on the day - amazing!
We are looking forward to attending more events in 2025!

Forever Foster
Roxy is one off our Forever Fosterers, Roxy came into SSR after her owner died and she found herself in the pound, Luckily one of our amazing Fosterers stepped forward a few years ago and Roxy has never looked back.
Roxy enjoyed a trip away this month, see photo with her mum on the beach. Roxy loves her holidays and she is such a social able, happy girl! It was even better as the weather was lovely, so there was loads of sunbathing to have and catching up with her doggy friends.
It was a nice break for Roxy after her recent vet visits to have dental surgery, she was a trooper and you wouldn't even think she had anything done, wasn't stopping her from dinner!

Dobby, King and Jaz were lucky to get a photoshoot of one of our volunteers! the photos are amazing - thank you Jamie. They were total superstars and loved the camera.
We are doing a lot of work behind the scenes with our dogs in kennels, especially around behaviourist support! Olivia is doing incredible around her dog reactivity, we are so proud of her and just waiting for that forever home.

Did you know that you can sign up to Pets at Home - Pets Club and pick Staffie Smiles Rescue as your nominated charity.

We have recently set up our on vinted account, to sell donated items on behalf of the rescue.

Adopted Dogs

It looks like there has been quite a few mini breaks for our dogs and as always the beach is a popular place!
We have also had so many walks, gotcha days, puppachinos and gifts.

September Adoptions
Nala & Storm have been adopted, they are both settling into their new homes really well.
Storm had been waiting so long for her forever home, Storm was in a foster home with one of our committee members but also had another foster mum for breaks ect, she fell in love with Storm (who couldn't) and adopted Storm, we honestly couldn't be happier for Storm and her mum, they are just perfect for each other! Storm is living her best life now and enjoying walks along the beach and being a sofa sloth.
Nala is settling really well into her new home, there's been loads of new exciting walks and even a few bus trips! There is a park close to home which Nala loves to go to and play with her ball. Nala loves a good cuddle and belly rub, she has a bed in most rooms now and likes to follow the sun.

Pawstep Challenge

Our Autumn walking challenge is ready to go! The challenge begins on the 14th October and you have until 14th November to complete 1million pawsteps for our dogs, which is approx 100miles for us humans. You can walk/wheel, jog or run! How you track your pawsteps or miles is up to you! You can keep track of your step/miles with a simple pedometer app downloaded to your phone, if you need help with this please do get in touch. Foster Homes Needed

We are in desperate need for Foster Homes, unfortunately we cant bring in anymore dogs as we have no kennel space or free fosterers.
Being a fosterer is a commitment but we are always here to support and will provide you with what you need. We need pet free homes, secure gardens and somebody around most of the days to let the dogs decompress, please see link below for more information.
