MEET FREIDA
|
More about me
Please read the dogs profile before applying. Only applications that meet the dog's needs will be considered.
All our dogs will be neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Dogs - Freida is OK with dogs outside, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
Kids - 12+
Cats - No
History... Freida was found as a stray and no one claimed her, she served her 7 days as a pound dog (and a load more), we were able to offer her a rescue space and she came and started her new life in Scotland.
More about me...
Few things we’ve learned since Freida has arrived:
- she’s the biggest cuddle bug
- any food is good food (even healthy things like carrots)
- as soon as she hears us waking up in the morning, her tail is thumping in her crate. The tail thumping happens anytime we look at her, say something, etc., she’s a very happy girl
- she doesn’t mind being in her crate but prefers the sofa (understandably)
- not a big fan of cows or sheep, but does well meeting new dogs (she doesn’t want to play, just a quick sniff and moves on)
- high prey drive for cats and other small creatures
- she zig zags on walks but never pulls too hard (unless she sees a cat). She always wants to be moving, though, no rest breaks! And always sticks to the path, not super interested in sniffing and roaming the grass too much.
- does well on buses and trams once she understands she can’t go say hi to everyone there. We have been giving her treats every time she lays down and relaxes, and towards the end of the trip she did really well staying put.
- she LOVES people and will happily go up to anyone! Random people in the park, new people coming into the house, you name it! (We’re working on making sure she doesn’t jump or crawl into laps, but she hasn’t been too bad with this)
she has a big personality
