More about me...
Sadly Tela is another example of a lockdown pup, she has had no socialisation with the outside world and everything is exciting to her to the point that she squeals. She has never been around dogs but is easy to handle she just makes lots of noise. With the right training because she is young this should be something that she can overcome. She might not be able to be playing with other dogs but in time with patience's, trust and lots of work this wee girl will be able to be around them if the work is put into her.
Tela was in a foster home over Xmas and her foster mum said she was a great house gest. She didn't have any issues with her in the house or the garden but outside the house she would get overstimulated and scream which made walks very noisy. Tela is a total sweet heart that loves everybody, she loves investigating she has no fear at all if anything outside she needs to take things slower so its not so overwhelming for her.
Tela loves a belly rub, is super sweet, she loves to play with her toys and loves her food. She likes her home comforts and will chill in her bed as long as she has a cover over her. She is a very clever, bright, smart wee girl and would excel at anything she does.
March 2023
Tela has been having a wee break with a volunteer in their home this is what they say about her.
Tela is such a clever girl she picks up things very fast. She responds really well to commands and will sit, stay and leave. She loves learning and would make a good outdoor walking companion once she gets used to the big bad world. She is super sweet and loves to be near /on top of you, her wee butt never stops wiggling, she loves her humans, Shes a great wee house guest.
Tela really needs a secure garden so she can start her training there then it can be taken outside gradually. Se loves her food and using kibble (which she loves) you can teach this wee girl anything.
She loved being in the car, never took her eyes of the world just sat and stared out the window.
Tela does things at 100 miles an hour, so she needs to learn to slow down, having been in kennels this is causing her so much stress. The 1st night home it took a while for her to calm down but by day 2 you could see her starting to chill out. He worst habit is jumping up at you, so you need to ignore her. She doesn't steel food, or bucket rack, she takes treats gently. She will wait on her dinner and will sit back and wait till asked to take it.
Outside is another thing, she gets overwhelmed by the world but once she get used to her muzzle she will walk for miles. She gets fixated on dogs and birds (in the sky, don't think shes seen them before) so treats help so does walking the other away. She screams and barks for a bit with sheer overstimulation but will stop once walking for a bit. She will bark when initially left on her own but that calms down after a while (you will need to work on this with her slowly) .
We are just starting the muzzle training and any home would need to continue this and the training outside with her so its a work in progress.
Do you have the time and love to help a wee lovable pup, please share Tela's story and help her find a home.
There will be behavioural support to help any home that wee Tela goes to.
