Adoption form

*** PLEASE NOTE - DUE TO THE COVID19 PANDEMIC WE ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED, WE HAVE DISABLED OUR APPLICATION FORMS FOR A SHORT TIME AS WE HAVE TOO MANY TO WORK THROUGH.  WE WILL ENABLE THEM AGAIN AS SOON AS WE CAN.  THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE***

Please note
We only re-home our dogs in SCOTLAND.
We have co-ordinators covering the Edinburgh/Perthshire/Dundee/Angus and Borders areas and some other areas within SCOTLAND.

We are not able to re-home any of our dogs to homes that have children under the age of 3 yrs old.

We do not re-home our dogs to homes that have un-neutered pets unless there is a genuine medical reason for this.

If you are applying to adopt and have a resident cat you may wait 9 months to a year on a dog.

Please can you give as much details as possible about your life, kids, other pets work commitments and level of ownership as this all helps when matching our dogs to a family.

Once we receive your application one of our volunteers will then contact you within 10 days to 3 weeks for a chat about your application
.
***Please not that this may be longer when holidays times come around ie  Xmas/summer/Easter times as our volunteers have these holidays as well*****

If you do not hear from us within 4 weeks please contact us via our contact form or Facebook  us - via  private message.

Please read

Dear Potential Adopters:

Please remember that a lot of work will go into your application before you actually adopt a dog.

Remember, it may take several weeks to co-ordinate all of this, so please be patient!

If you are not serious or do not have patience to wait for the right dog then PLEASE DO NOT FILL THIS APPLICATION OUT!

If there is any chance of you going to get a dog or puppy anywhere else in the next few weeks,
PLEASE DO NOT FILL THIS APPLICATION OUT!

You are only wasting a tremendous amount of volunteer time and we would rather spend that time on helping serious adopters. Most of us have full-time jobs and families of our own, we give up our own free time to help find the best matched forever home for our dogs.

Thank you for your co-operation.

What happens next

When you foster a dog for Staffie Smiles Rescue, not only do you get a whole load of staffie love but you get to meet new friends on a foster walk.

Our foster walks are to help with the continued socialisation of the dogs in our care and for our fosterers and coordinators to share advice and pass on information about our dogs.
